Room Movie Review
Title: Room
Rated R: (language)
Starring: Brie Larson, Jacob Tremblay
Director: Lenny Abrahamson
IMDb Synopsis: After five-year-old Jack and his mother escape from the enclosed surroundings that Jack has known his entire life, the boy makes a thrilling discovery.
My Rating: 9/10
The feels man, the feels
The room is a film that I had no idea what it was about, I was originally going to just Spotlight, but I saw this at the theatre, I decided to see it. I'm glad I did.
Room is expertly filmed, wonderfully acted, and really well written.
Brie Larson deserves all the praise she's getting. She's wonderful as a 24-year-old mother raising a child.
Also, Jacob Tremblay, best child actor in at least the last 10 years. He's wonderful and he should be getting more attention.
This film actually made me cry around 3 times. And it's all because of Abrahamson's excellent vision. Donoghue's (the writer of the novel this film is based on and the writer of the film) wonderful script. And the wonderful chemistry between Larson, Tremblay, and the rest of the cast.
I loved this movie and Larson better win for Best Supporting Actress in a Lead Role.

The Revenant Movie Review

Rated: R (strong frontier combat, violence including gory images, a sexual assault, language, and brief nudity)
Starring: Leonardo DiCaprio, Tom Hardy
Director: Alejandro González Iñárritu
IMDb Brief Synopsis: A frontiersman named Hugh Glass on a fur trading expedition in the 1820's is on a quest for survival after being brutally mauled by a bear.
My Rating: 9/10
holy crap so The Revenant is awesome!
a film that is filmed in (nearly) all on location, using natural light (aka just the sun) The Revenant is one of the best looking movies I have ever seen in my life. I love how the camera lens fogs up when the camera is close to DiCaprio, or the bear in the scene from the trailer. If this movie doesn't win for best cinematography at the 2016 Oscars.
Speaking of the 2016 Oscars, do you know who should win for Best Actor in a Lead Role? Leonardo Nooscaro!! DiCaprio gives his best performance since The Wolf of Wall Street, which he should have won for that (okay and most every role he's taken). He barley speaks any English, with most of his speech being in French, or Native American. He grunts his way to exact revenge on Tom Hardy's character. Every actor does an amazing job.
The only negative I have is that The Revenant draws out Glass' quest for survival for a little too long, other than that, I loved this movie! It's better than Birdman, even though it's an awesome movie.
Good god Oscar Academy, GIVE LEO DiCAPRIO A FLIPPING OSCAR!
Also, a fair warning, this film is very gory, so if you're sensitive to gore, I would probably avoid this one.
